Horror made by people who love the genre, often with one camera and whoever will work for coffee. When an independent filmmaker brings us a film, we watch it and score it like everything else in the archive, and the ones that earn it get a turn on our homepage.
2012 · Russia · 1 hour 20 mins · Directed by Kirill Khrestinin
Kirill Khrestinin shot this Russian found-footage chiller with one camera, one light and one mic in a winter forest outside Moscow. Now a novelist and podcaster in Louisville, he brought it to HorroRated.

Tell us about it on the contact page: the title, a trailer or screener link and where people can watch it. A submission never buys a score, a collection spot or a HorroRated Pick, and a submitted film's entry says that the filmmaker brought it to us. How we handle submissions
A homepage feature for horror made independently, often on very small budgets. Each film is watched and scored by the HorroRated team like every other title in the archive, then featured until the next spotlight starts. Past spotlights stay on this page.
Send the title, a trailer or screener link and where it can be watched through the HorroRated contact page. The team watches what it can; not every film is reviewed or featured.
No. A submission never buys a score, a collection spot or a HorroRated Pick, and a submitted film's entry says that the filmmaker brought it to HorroRated.
