Octavi Navarro's pixel art style gives it a deceptively warm visual register that the subject matter undercuts completely. Free, brief, and genuinely affecting. One of the more memorable short horror games made.
Synopsis
Ms. Appleton runs a supper for guests, and The Voice has given her very specific ideas about the menu. This is a short point-and-click adventure from White Blanket Games exploring the darkest corners of the human soul through a deceptively cozy pixel art aesthetic. It runs about thirty minutes and uses its brevity to land its ending with real force.
