Why it’s HorroRated

Anacondas moves to Borneo and largely abandons what made the first film work, which was Jon Voight being completely unhinged. The new cast is less interesting and the snakes are less convincingly rendered. It's a functional creature sequel without much personality. For fans of the genre who've already run through the better options.

Synopsis

A research group charters a boat into anaconda territory during mating season. The creatures are a visual step down from the first film and the cast is less committed to the absurdity of the premise. A functional sequel for viewers who want more of the same without what made the original work.
