Friday Part 2 earns its place in the franchise by making Jason actually threatening again rather than mythological. The burlap sack is creepier than the hockey mask, honestly. Amy Steel is one of the better final girls the series ever produced. A worthy follow-up that knows what it's doing.

Synopsis

Five years after the original killings, a camp opens for counselor training and the Crystal Lake warnings make their rounds again. Jason emerges from the woods with a burlap sack over his face and a clear sense of purpose. The film earns its place in the franchise by making him threatening rather than mythological, and Amy Steel is one of the better final girls the series ever produced.
