Why it’s HorroRated
It Chapter Two is a sprawling follow-up that pays off the first film's character work with a cast of adults who match their younger counterparts. Bill Hader and James Ransone in particular give the film real emotional depth. The horror sequences are inventive and the resolution is earned if not perfectly executed. A worthy conclusion.
Synopsis
The adult Losers return and the film alternates between the present-day confrontation and the childhood incidents the first chapter didn't cover. Andy Muschietti's follow-up is longer and more sprawling than the first chapter and less focused as a result. Bill Hader and James Ransone as adult Richie and Eddie are the film's best elements.
