Why it’s HorroRated
Jeepers Creepers 2 swaps the road movie format of the original for a siege film and it works. The Creeper picking off teenagers from a school bus is a simple and effective premise and the creature continues to be one of the more original monsters in early 2000s horror. Not as tight as the first film but it has enough invention to earn its place in the franchise.
Synopsis
A busload of athletes and chaperones is stranded when the vehicle breaks down on a flat stretch of road and the Creeper begins working through them methodically. The siege format is a smart change from the first film's road movie structure and the aerial attack sequences make good use of what the creature can do. A solid continuation that understands what made the original work.
