Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker is one of the strangest films on this list and that's saying something. Susan Tyrrell is completely unhinged as the aunt in the best possible way and the film goes to places you flat-out don't see coming. It handles themes most early 80s horror wouldn't touch. Uneven but unforgettable.
Synopsis
Billy has spent his whole life under the authority of an aunt who saved him as a child and now refuses to release him. When a man dies in their home, the investigation that follows pulls back the curtain on obsession, prejudice, and buried violence. Susan Tyrrell's performance is completely unhinged in the best possible way and the film goes places most early 80s horror wouldn't touch.
