Why it’s HorroRated

Children of the Corn II is a decent low-budget follow-up that works harder than most horror sequels to justify its existence. The setting is expanded and there are a few creative kills. It never approaches the creepiness of the original but it's a competent continuation. Worth a look for fans of the first film.

Synopsis

A journalist and his son arrive in the host town and start investigating when the deaths start again. The sequel extends the mythology without significantly expanding it and the new community setting gives it some breathing room. A functional continuation for fans of the original who want more of the premise.
