Jason Takes Manhattan is mostly Jason Takes a Boat, which is the film's most honest criticism. The budget limitations kept most of the action on a cruise ship and the Manhattan footage feels tacked on. But there's something endearing about its ambition and the Times Square scene is worth the wait. A low point that's still watchable.

Synopsis

Jason hitches a ride on a graduation cruise headed for Manhattan, which promises more than the budget can deliver. The boat sequences dominate the running time and New York is mostly glimpsed rather than explored. Watchable as a late-cycle entry if you go in with limited expectations.
