Halloween 5 introduces a psychic link between Jamie and Michael that the film never quite explains and the mysterious Man in Black subplot goes nowhere. Danielle Harris is again excellent and there are effective moments throughout, but the tone is inconsistent and it sets up threads the franchise took years to follow up on. A messy entry.

Synopsis

Jamie Lloyd is in a psychiatric facility, unable to communicate but clearly aware of what Michael is doing before anyone else. The film introduces a connection between them that the screenplay never fully explains and the Man in Black subplot goes nowhere. Danielle Harris remains the film's strongest element throughout.
