H20 brings Jamie Lee Curtis back and gives the franchise a dignified course correction after the mess of 5 and 6. The final confrontation between Laurie and Michael is the best thing the series produced since the original and Curtis is excellent throughout. A bit too glossy in places but the emotional core works and the ending is deeply satisfying.

Synopsis

H20 picks up with Laurie running a private school under a new identity, structured entirely around avoiding a second encounter. The film gives her the kind of agency the series hadn't offered since Halloween II and the final confrontation between them is the most dramatically satisfying moment the franchise produced after Carpenter's original. Jamie Lee Curtis carries the whole thing.
