Why it’s HorroRated
Bloodline has an ambitious structure spanning three time periods which is more than most fourth entries in a franchise even attempt. The 18th century segment is the strongest and most interesting. The execution is compromised and the film was cut in post, and it shows. Worth it for Hellraiser completionists who want to see the mythology extended.
Synopsis
Hellraiser: Bloodline moves between 18th century France, the present, and a space station in the near future, linking the Merchant family through their connection to the box across time. The ambition is real even when the execution is compromised, and the period segment is the strongest. Worth it for franchise completionists who want to see the mythology extended.
