Why it’s HorroRated

The Final Destination is the franchise at its most mechanical, which is fine if you're there for the kills. The 3D racetrack opener is impressive and several of the death sequences are among the series' most elaborately staged. The characters are thin even by franchise standards. Come for the Rube Goldberg sequences and you won't be disappointed.

Synopsis

The fourth Final Destination opens with a NASCAR track disaster in 3D and works through a group of survivors connected to it. The kills are the most elaborate the series has produced and the most self-consciously excessive. The franchise shows its formula here more plainly than before but the formula still functions.
