Cold Rails uses a confined setting and an understated threat to build the slow-burn dread that most indie horror games chase but fewer actually achieve. The bartender mechanic, serving drinks and picking up fragments of story, is a smart way to deliver the narrative without forcing exposition. A strong upcoming title worth watching.

Synopsis

Cold Rails puts you behind the bar of a moving train at night, serving passengers and piecing together the story through their conversations while a mysterious woman moves through the carriages. Built in Unity by Vivi with a PSX retro aesthetic, it's coming soon to Steam and offers about thirty minutes of dread in a confined setting.
