Why it’s HorroRated
The Dream Child is the most ambitious Elm Street sequel and it swings harder than most late-cycle horror sequels bother to. The M.C. Escher sequence and a few other set pieces show what the series could do when given real latitude. It doesn't fully land but it's interesting for trying, which is more than you can say for most fifth entries in a franchise.
Synopsis
The Dream Child uses Alice's pregnancy as its central mechanism and swings harder than most late-cycle horror sequels bother to. The M.C.
