Why it’s HorroRated
Carpenter and Hooper co-directing a Showtime anthology for fun is a great premise and it mostly delivers. The gas station segment is a tight, well-executed piece of suspense and Carpenter hosting as a wisecracking coroner is its own entertainment. A relaxed, confident piece of work from two masters doing something just because they wanted to.
