Why it’s HorroRated
Halloween II 2009 is Rob Zombie's most personal horror film which makes it the most divisive. The dream sequences and white horse imagery push the franchise into territory it had never explored. It won't work for viewers who wanted a conventional sequel. For those willing to follow Zombie somewhere strange, it has real moments.
Synopsis
Halloween II 2009 moves both Michael and Laurie through psychological visions that blur the line between their experiences. Zombie doubles down on his interest in Michael as a product of abuse rather than supernatural evil. The white horse imagery is the most visually distinctive thing either of his Halloween films produced. Won't work for viewers who wanted a conventional sequel.
