Jason X knows it's ridiculous and leans into that completely. A hockey-masked killer on a spaceship four hundred years in the future is played as a legitimate premise and the kills use the futuristic setting with actual creativity. Kane Hodder brings the same physicality as always. A late franchise entry that's more fun than it deserves to be.

Synopsis

Jason ends up thawed on a research vessel in 2455 with a student group and military escort and the film knows exactly how ridiculous that is. The tone is calibrated to match the premise and the futuristic setting is used with actual creativity in the kill sequences. Kane Hodder brings the same physicality as always. More fun than it has any right to be.
