Why it’s HorroRated
Return of the Living Dead Part II doesn't match the energy of the original but it delivers the basics with a light touch and some real charm. The two cast members from the first film playing completely different characters gives it an almost self-aware quality that works. Solid comfort food for fans of the series.
Synopsis
Two barrels of 2-4-5 Trioxin end up in a suburban neighborhood and a nearby cemetery activates. The dark comedy of the original runs at a lower temperature here and the setup is repeated with less invention. But it delivers the basics with enough charm to function as comfort food for fans of the series.
