Bride of Chucky is the smartest pivot the franchise made, fully embracing horror-comedy and bringing Jennifer Tilly in to match Brad Dourif's energy. The two killer dolls on a road trip premise is funny and Ronny Yu gives it a stylish visual sense the earlier entries lacked. It revitalized the series and introduced Tiffany, who became as beloved as Chucky himself.

Synopsis

Tiffany Valentine rebuilds Chucky and ends up in a doll herself as part of his plan. Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly voice the pair with a chemistry that makes the film work as a dark comedy about a terrible relationship. Ronny Yu brings more visual flair than the series had seen and the tone is perfectly calibrated for what this entry is trying to do.
