Bride of Re-Animator is Brian Yuzna taking the franchise in a more explicitly absurdist direction and it works. Jeffrey Combs is as sharp as ever and the creature designs are among the most inventive in the series. It's messier and goofier than the original but it fully owns that energy. A worthy and wild sequel.
Synopsis
Brian Yuzna takes over from Stuart Gordon and steers the franchise toward its more absurdist range. Combs slides back into Herbert West with total ease and the creature design for the finale is the most ambitious the series ever attempted. Messier and goofier than the original but it fully owns that energy.
