Robert Rodriguez directing a Kevin Williamson script about body snatchers at a high school works better than it should. The cast is stacked with late-90s faces and everyone is clearly having fun. The film wears its Invasion of the Body Snatchers influence proudly while keeping the energy light. It's not trying to be scary, just fun, and at that it succeeds.

Synopsis

Robert Rodriguez directs Kevin Williamson's body snatcher script with the energy of someone who enjoys the genre without being reverent about it. The late-90s cast is stacked and everyone leans into their archetypes with enough self-awareness to make the film fun. Not trying to be scary, just trying to be a good time, and at that it succeeds.
