Why it’s HorroRated
Goosebumps 2 is a smaller film than the original without the benefit of R.L. Stine as a character. Slappy remains a credible villain and the holiday setting gives it seasonal value. A functional sequel that understands what its audience wants and delivers it without pretension.
Synopsis
Two brothers and a new neighbor discover Slappy's book and the puppet sets about creating an army of Halloween decorations. The sequel is smaller in scope than the first film and loses the benefit of R.L. Stine as a character. A functional family horror sequel for the audience that wants more.
