Why it’s HorroRated
The Creepshow series is exactly what it should be: faithful to the tone of the Romero-King films, practical effects-first, and completely uninterested in being anything other than fun. Some segments are better than others but the worst ones are still watchable and the best ones are outstanding short horror filmmaking. It keeps getting stronger with each season. Great comfort horror.
Synopsis
Inspired by the 1982 Romero and King film, each episode contains two short horror stories introduced by the Creep. Deliberately retro in aesthetic and tone, it leans into the EC Comics tradition of moral horror with a mean sense of humor. The practical effects work is excellent and the series has drawn a strong roster of directors and writers across its run.
